Tez Anderson, Founder Let’s Kick ASS (AIDS Survivor Syndrome)
In a recent interview with the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, Tez Anderson confided that he didn’t expect to see his 28th birthday, let alone reach midlife. “I was really well prepared to die,” he recalls. “It’s just, I didn’t really plan to live.”
It’s the story of his generation, he says – a generation that survived the devastating early decades of AIDS only to face the depression, anxiety, and social isolation of what Tez identifies as “AIDS survivor syndrome.”
Tez took his own life crisis and forged it into a new purpose: Launching the grassroots group, Let’s Kick ASS to help fellow long-term survivors reconnect with a powerful community – and build a future they never imagined…
Be sure to attend the 5th Annual HIV/AIDS and Aging Symposium to hear Tez’s exciting story!
